It is a new type of highly effective and low-toxic o-formylaminobenzamide insecticide Chemicalbook developed by DuPont in the United States. It has good insecticidal activity even at very low concentrations and is particularly effective against Lepidoptera insects. Its chemical name is 3-bromo-N-{4-chloro-2-methyl-6-[(methylamino)carbonyl]phenyl}-1-(3-chloro-2-pyridinyl)-1H-pyridine-5-amide.
