Used as internal lubricant for many kinds of resin processing. It is also used as a plasticizer for natural and synthetic rubber latexes, and as a mold releasing agent. It is non-toxic, and is suitable for use as an internal lubricant for PVC food-grade transparent sheets, boards, profiles, films and heat-shrinkable films, as well as a lubricant for the processing of calendered aluminum foils.
