Aluminum fluoride Usage
1. Mainly used as a modifier and flux in the aluminum electrolysis process. As a regulator, aluminum fluoride can increase the conductivity of the electrolyte, and can be supplemented with aluminum fluoride according to the analysis result to adjust the composition of the electrolyte to maintain a prescribed electrolyte molecular ratio; as a flux, aluminum fluoride can lower the melting point of alumina. It is beneficial to the electrolysis of alumina, controlling the heat balance of the electrolysis process and reducing the energy consumption of the electrolysis process.
2. Used as a catalyst in the synthesis of organic compounds and organofluorine compounds, as a component of ceramics and enamel fluxes and glazes, as a modifier for refractive index of lenses and prisms, for the manufacture of fluorinated glass with low ??light loss?? in infrared spectrum. .
3. Can be used as an inhibitor in alcohol production.
