Combretastatin A4 phosphate disodium?application:
Combretastatin A4 phosphate disodium, referred to as CA4P, is a vascular targeted anticancer drug. Its mechanism of action is to cause rapid interruption of tumor blood supply, leading to tumor death due to lack of oxygen and nutrient starvation. The mechanism of action of CA4P in treating tumors is different from that of general cytotoxic chemotherapy drugs and drugs that inhibit the development of new blood vessels. It specifically destroys and disintegrates immature endothelial cells of newly formed blood vessels during tumor growth, but has no effect on mature endothelial cells of normal tissue blood vessels.
