1. This product is a reactive flame retardant, which can be used for polyester and epoxy resin, but its effect is not as good as tetrabromophthalic anhydride. Tetrachlorophthalic anhydride is also an intermediate for organic synthesis of pesticides (rice blast phthalide), dyes, drugs, plasticizers, fire retardant paints, etc.
